On Tuesday, April 1, 2025, North Bay Credit Union, our parent bank, is completing a systems security update, upgrading all of its core processing systems leading to more secure access to your accounts.
To facilitate this conversion, there will be no branch, phone, or digital banking access on Tuesday, April 1, 2025.
Access to online banking and remote deposits will be cut off beginning Monday, March 31, at 3 PM (PDT). Access will resume on Wednesday, April 2.

When will this update take place?
The system-wide update will take place on April 1, 2025. All North Bay Credit Union branches will be closed, and there will be no phone or digital banking access.
Access to online banking and remote deposits will be cut off beginning Monday, March 31, at 3 PM (PDT). Access will resume on Wednesday, April 2.
Why is this happening?
These changes stem from updates by our parent bank, North Bay Credit Union. These new technologies give greater access and provide even greater account security.
Why is this affecting me when I am a Greenbax Marketplace customer?
Greenbax Marketplace is a subsidiary of North Bay Credit Union. So, their update will affect our accounts.
We understand that this may be an inconvenience, and we genuinely appreciate your understanding. This update is designed to provide a more secure experience for our customers.
Accessing some of your Greenbax Marketplace banking services through North Bay will only be necessary for a few more months. Coming soon, GBX will have its own version, allowing our accounts a one-login experience.

Will my personal and financial information remain secure?
Yes, protecting your personal information is always our top concern, and this information will remain safe throughout the process.
Please know that data security is a top priority. Your personal and financial information will remain secure. We will never ask for login credentials or sensitive information via email or phone.
Will North Bay Credit Union ATMs be available?
Yes, NBCU ATMs will be available. We are encouraging customers to get and keep a little more cash on hand before April 1 because there will be limits on how much you can withdraw from ATMs on April 1.
Will my North Bay Credit Union member number or account numbers change? Will my Greenbax account number change?
No, these will not change. But we encourage you to use your Greenbax account number solely and move away from using your North Bay Credit Union account numbers.
If I have a direct deposit scheduled for April 1, when will the funds be available?
Your direct deposit will be posted to your account on April 2.
Will North Bay’s Bill Payment information and history transfer over after the update? What about GBXPay?
Unfortunately, North Bay’s bill payment system history, payees, and related information will NOT transfer over. But GBXPay, our bill pay system, will be accessible on April 1. That is the system all GBX customers should use for all future payments where you can pay vendors, schedule payments, download transactions, etc.
Will my Debit or Credit Card work during the update?
These cards may work on update day, but limits will be reduced. We do recommend having a little extra cash on April 1.
How will I log into my Greenbax Marketplace accounts on April 2?
You will still log in at www.NorthBayCU.com
However, you must enroll in Multifactor Authentication (MFA) before logging in for the first time. We will provide more details about this soon.

Will my Greenbax Marketplace transaction history and monthly statements from before April 1, 2025, be available in the new portal?
No, but we will archive all historical transaction history and account statements on our internal servers and can produce a previous statement upon request. We advise you to download your historical statements for your records from our current online banking program prior to April 1. You can do this under Accounts>Statements+Documents as shown below. All transaction histories and statements produced after April 1, 2025, will be available in the new online banking system.
Your GBXPay history will be stored in the GBXPay portal and unaffected by this upgrade.
Will I be able to get copies of my cleared checks?
Yes, you can. You can request them from your GBX banker.
Will my current debit card work during and after the update?
Yes, it will.
Will I need to download a new North Bay Credit Union Mobile Banking app?
Yes, a new mobile banking app will be available, and we will provide details to you soon on when it will be available for download.
Will I be able to use the new app to deposit checks remotely?
Yes, you will. To remotely deposit, you will need to download the new North Bay Credit Union mobile app.
Will my ACH/EFT bill payments that are scheduled to go out on April 1st be affected?
No, outgoing ACHs will be processed as normal on April 1st. But you may not see it reflected until after April 2.
Access to online banking and remote deposits cut-off time will be Monday, March 31 at 3 PM.
Will my scheduled ACH debits such as rent and tax payments be affected if they are scheduled for April 1st? What happens to my scheduled recurring bill payment that is paid on the first day of each month?
You can schedule payments through our GBXPay solution to go out on Friday, March 28th, or Wednesday, April 2nd. Outgoing payments cannot be scheduled for April 1st. Our GBXPay system is programmed so you won’t accidentally schedule a payment on that day.
Access to online banking and remote deposits cut-off time will be Monday, March 31 at 3 PM.
Besides already scheduled ACH/EFT payments, will I be able to make new EFT payments on March 29- April 1?
You will be able to schedule payments through our GBXPay solution to either go out on Friday, March 28th or Wednesday, April 2nd and beyond.
You can continue to schedule outgoing payments via GBXPay but NO payments will be processed on Tuesday, April 1st. We will process any scheduled payments on Friday, March 28th, up to the closing time of 5:00 PM (PST). We will resume processing outgoing payments on Wednesday, April 2- including SAME DAY payments.
What is NBCU iPay (Bill Pay)?
This is NBCU’s new bill pay system. You may see access to this in the NBCU portal beginning on April 2. Do not access this system. This is not a system Greenbax customers should use. We encourage all GBX customers to use GBXPay.
